In a pitcher, combine about 1 cup of Plain Full-Fat Yogurt with 1 cup of Water for a classic, drinkable consistency (use 1 cup yogurt + 1/2 cup water if you prefer it thicker).
Whisk vigorously with a balloon whisk or blend briefly in a blender until the mixture is smooth and frothy, about 30–60 seconds.
Season with a pinch of Fine Sea Salt, then taste and add more if needed — salt should brighten the flavor but not make it salty.
If the ayran is too thick, stir in a little more water a tablespoon at a time until it reaches your desired consistency; if too thin, add a little more yogurt.
Serve chilled or over ice, poured into glasses and enjoyed immediately. Optional: garnish with a small mint leaf or a light sprinkle of dried mint for extra aroma.
