Method
Make a simple syrup: in a small saucepan combine 1 cup of Granulated Sugar and 1 cup of Water; warm over medium heat, stirring until the sugar dissolves and the liquid is clear (do not boil). Remove from heat and let the syrup cool.
In a large pitcher, combine 1 cup of Lemon Juice with the cooled syrup and about 4 cups of water; stir well and taste, adding more water if it’s too strong or more syrup if you prefer it sweeter.
If the lemon juice has pulp or seeds, strain the mixture through a fine-mesh sieve into another pitcher for a smooth lemonade.
Fill glasses with Ice and pour the chilled lemonade over the ice.
Slice the Lemon into rounds and use as garnish in the pitcher or on individual glasses. Serve immediately and enjoy.
