Heat the oven
Preheat the oven to 200° C so it is fully hot by the time the baking dish goes in.
Arrange and drizzle
Set the feta cheese in the center of a baking dish and place the salmon fillets beside it, leaving a little space around each piece so the heat can circulate. Drizzle the hot honey over both the feta and salmon, then finish with the olive oil, coating everything evenly.
Bake until tender
Bake the dish for 25 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork and the feta is very soft with lightly browned edges. If your salmon fillets are especially thick, give them another minute or two and check again.
Boil the pasta
While the feta and salmon bake, bring a large pot of well-salted water to a boil and cook the pasta according to the package directions until just al dente. Before draining, scoop out a small mug of the pasta water to help loosen the sauce later if needed.
Drain the pasta
Drain the pasta well, then return it to the pot or transfer it to a large mixing bowl so you have plenty of room to toss everything together.
Toss and finish
Add the baked salmon and feta to the hot pasta. Use a spoon or fork to gently break the salmon into bite-size flakes and mash the feta so it melts into the pasta, then toss until everything is glossy and coated. Add a splash of the reserved pasta water if the mixture looks tight or dry. Tear or roughly chop the fresh basil leaves, stir them through just before serving, then taste and serve warm.
