Caipirinha
4.6
🇧🇷 Brazilian
Caipirinha is Brazil’s iconic, refreshingly tart cocktail—bright lime muddled with sugar and lifted by the grassy warmth of cachaça. Easy to make and intensely flavorful, it’s the perfect balance of sweet, sour, and spirit for warm evenings or casual gatherings.

Method
Wash a Lime and cut it into 6–8 wedges.
Place the lime wedges in an old-fashioned glass and add 2 teaspoons of White Sugar (adjust to taste).
Muddle the lime and sugar firmly to release the juice and essential oils from the peel, until the sugar begins to dissolve.
Fill the glass about three-quarters full with crushed Ice or ice cubes.
Pour 50 ml (about 1.7 fl oz) of Cachaça over the ice.
Stir vigorously for 10–15 seconds to chill and combine the flavors; taste and add a little more sugar or cachaça if desired.
Serve immediately with a short straw or a lime wheel as a garnish.
